Show Updates!
This show season has been phenomenal! I was blessed greatly at each event in many different ways. I always enjoy attending the Plein air painting event at VINS in VT. It doubles as a girls week camping with my mom and the Quechee area is beautiful. Not to mention the birds at VINS! I received 3rd place in the quick paint and had a blast painting. The following Saturday I attended the Plymouth Fall Art Show. It is always like an old home day getting to see and catch up with many familiar faces and friends! I also received a Best in show for one of my mixed media pieces! Here are a few pictures to review these events!

Adirondack Harvest Plein Air Festival, Ticonderoga, NY
Last weekend I had the wonderful opportunity to participate in another great plein air painting event! The Ticonderoga, NY area is a place full of beauty and history. There was a variety of subject matter to paint and the weather was great! Plus we camped on Lake George! The views were amazing right at the campground! Of course I painted non-stop! At the Opening I received an honorable Mention on "Champlain View." Thank you to everyone at the Ti Arts Gallery for organizing and sponsoring this event! Here are a few pictures from the weekend.

A Stroke of Art, Boothbay Harbor, ME
This past week I had the pleasure of participating in this wonderful event. It was so nice to catch up with some artists I had met earlier this year at the Wet Paint Tamworth, as well as, meeting some new artists. We all have our own styles and techniques and it is great to see what everyone captures! In six day's I completed a total of fourteen paintings! We painted almost non-stop from the time our feet hit the ground in Boothbay! The scenery was amazing but I think I had the most fun painting the Vintage Campers at the Vintage Market. It was wonderful seeing them all restored and they each had their own theme too. It bought back so many wonderful memories of the old Shasta we had when I was growing up. I received a first place in peoples choice on "Marshmallow Fluff" a painting of a pink Shasta. I also received third place over all for "Vintage Blue" another vintage camper painting. The crew that organizes this event is a great group of people and they do a wonderful job! I can not thank them all enough for everything they did for us artists! Also, I had a great time with my parents. I am so glad they were able to join me for the week and I think my dog, Oscar, was very glad too! Here are a few pics from the event. I will be posting more images of my paintings soon!

Mount Washington Valley Art Show Update!
Saturday's Art show in North Conway, NH was phenomenal! I met lots of great people and had some good sales! I think the best part about these shows is being able to talk to people about my art work. Both the process of it and all of the adventures I am blessed to have while creating. I received an Honorable Mention ribbon for my painting on a barn door, "Distant Storm" which also was one of the pieces that sold. The buyers of it were very patient in waiting for the judging to be over and awards handed out before they took it home. Thank you! I also had a lot of interest in my children stories. "Echo the Bears Great Big Adventure" and "Oscar and His Window Seat" were the big sellers this weekend. My hand painted signs were a hit too. Lots of people love NH as much as I do! Here are a few pics from the day.

Going Wild En Plein Air!
I recently spent a couple of nights in the Wild River Wilderness in the White Mountains of NH with a wonderful group. The weather was on the hot side so we spent most of our time in the shade or near the brook.
My dog enjoyed swimming and he led the way most of the time.
The scenery was incredible as we we made our way into the wilderness.
Soon we made it to the Blue Brook Tent Site and set up camp. It was a beautiful spot next to the brook. We enjoyed a campfire while we had dinner.
After dinner it was time to paint!
The next day we enjoyed exploring the Basin Rim and soaking in the views. We were able to see a Blackburnian warbler hopping around in some fir branches while we were relaxing in the shade.
While along the rim I took the time to paint again!
After exploring around a little bit more we returned to camp for our last night in the wilderness. We ventured down to some cascades near the tent site and had another campfire. We all had a lovely time and it was bitter sweet to pack up and leave in the morning.
